WHAT'S DEL BEEN DOING?

Things have been busy this year so far for Del Smith, the proprietor of SnookerStuff.com.

After appearing as Head Coach for the World Snooker Cue Zone at the Wembley Masters Snooker Championships (for the second year in a row), Del has just been to Sheffield where he qualified through the preliminary stages of the World Championship with some good solid break-building snooker!

Del Smith First Beat the Former World Number 2 Tony Knowles 5-4 with breaks of 67,91,89 then went on with some good wins but unfortunately he didn't qualify for the televised stage of the 2011 World Snooker Championships having gone out to Former Quarter finalist Patrick Wallace after a hard fight in Round 4, held at the English Institute of Sport in Sheffield.

Del Smith has been asked by World Snooker to Be Head Coach in Cue Zone at this year's World Snooker Championships held at the Crucible theatre Sheffield 2011.( Why not meet Del at this years World Championships on the 19th and 20th April 2011).

Del has also started up a new mixed age Coaching School in Romford, Essex every Thursday at 4:30pm till 6:30pm - contact him for details.

Del is also a professional 9 ball pool player on the UPA Tour USA and in June 2009 played the World Summit of 9 ball pool event in Las Vegas, Nevada, where he was 9-2 down but came back to win 13-12 with a stunning break to clear up. Del got to the last 16 players and has now gained a UPA world ranking of 55 at Pro 9 ball.

Del also had a good tournament on the Costa Del Sol (Spain) where he won through to the last 16 stages of the Euro Tour 10 Ball Open, winning many great matches.

Del has some new tournaments in mind and is in practice for these now.
